| Subject: Termination of memory card function and introduction of new computer Software assisted programming function
DCP551/552-“A” Mark II series manufactured in Yamatake brand and “E” series manufactured for Honeywell, are programmable controllers widely used in heat treat applications. The new replacing series (re-named to either B or F series) will no longer have the SKM memory card reading function due to component availability from a supplier. Currently, there are some 200 sets of older DCP units at Yamatake Sensing Control available on first come first serve basis.
Starting April 2008, the upgraded DCP551/552 will be available as DCP551/552 “B” series (replacing the “A”) or DCP551/552 “F” (replacing the “E” series for Honeywell).
Yamatake will be upgrading the current model with a computer aided SLP55 software program. The SLP will be composed of a special communication cable and a CD.
The communication cable plugs into a “loader jack” between current model's LOAD and SAVE keys. (New model will not have these keys)
There will be no physical change except for the sealed memory card slot, and the termination of Load and SAVE keys on the display console. (See diagram 1) There will be no terminal modifications or changes in price.
The SLP software in English is now available in our Phoenix Customer Service Center under SLP-P55J10 listing. This will allow uploading of programs, Setup parameters from old mark II units (or data from SKM memory cards) into a your computer for better management of product recipes and transferring into the new DCP551/552 “B” or “F” programmable controllers.
